Dr. Block has been serving the dental needs of the Rego Park and Forest Hills community for the last 32 years. He established his practice in 1993, practicing on 99th Street in Rego Park for 15 years, and then moving his practice to Metropolitan Ave in Forest Hills and renaming it MetroSmiles. His philosophy is to provide the very best in general, surgical, and cosmetic dentistry to all patients using the latest available technology. All while treating them with the utmost care, respect and his signature gentle touch. He never forgets that whatever he is working on is connected to a living, breathing patient whose welfare is always Dr. Block's primary concern.
Dr. Block graduated NYU College of Dentistry in 1992, and a general practice residency at Jamaica Hospital in 1993. He was an attending at the hospital from 1993-1998. He has lectured internationally on the topics of digital radiography, dental materials, and computer aided design and digital dental restorations (CAD CAM dentistry).
Here at MetroSmiles the entire staff is at your service to help you receive the treatment you want and need and to help navigate you through the complicated processes of your insurance plan. We participate with many insurance plans. Please call us to discuss your plan and whether we participate. If you do not have insurance, we have a membership program to help you, as well as payment plans for those who need them. If we do not participate with your particular insurance plan network we may be able to treat you with out of network benefits or we will help you find a dentist who does take your plan.
